Advanced Options Guide for surveys
The advanced options will allow you to add extra functionality to each of your questions. Each question will have different advanced and particular options for each type of question, some of these will be repeated and others can only be found in some questions.
Alert: This functionality allows you to receive alerts whenever a question receives a specific answer that might be important. Learn more about this option in the following article: Alerts in surveys.
Image/Video: Activate this option to add an image or video within the question. These images will appear between the question title and the answer options.
To add an Image there are several options:
- My Images: Use this option to upload an image from your computer or device. It is recommended to use files up to 2MB and a size of 1240×768 or larger. (Respect these proportions so that the image looks good on all devices).
- Unsplash: this image bank has more than 1,000,000 high-resolution images. To use these images, simply enter a search and select the most suitable image. (We recommend using English words when searching for more results).
– GIPHY: it is one of the largest banks of GIFs that exist online. You will be able to browse and find thousands of animations to bring your survey to life. Similar to the Unsplash integration, GIPHY is very simple to use. Enter a search and select the most convenient GIF to add to your survey. (We recommend using English words when searching for more results).
Video: Select this option to include the link to any video uploaded to YouTube. Paste the URL, and you can see it on the right side of the screen.
Random: This option allows the available responses to appear randomly, in a different order for each respondent. This means that each user who enters your campaign will see the response options in a different order. It is usually used to minimize the influence at the time of the answer.
Required: Select this option if you want the answer to a question to be required. When this option is active, the "Next" button will disappear, forcing the user to answer the question. (We generally recommend that this button be active, but in certain types of questions such as: "Do you want to leave us a comment?" it should be disabled).
More than one: This option allows your respondents to select as many answers as they want.
Vertical alig – Turn on this option to have the available answers appear sorted one below the other. This functionality is simply aesthetic and designed for better viewing on mobile devices.
Select: The select or dropdown, groups all the response options in a drop-down menu. Activate this button if you have many answer options to facilitate your search. Also, it's a great way to save space if you have a long list of options, like country, state or city, etc.
“Other” field: use this option to add a new answer option to be completed by the respondent, in addition to those already established. It is important to mention that this text will be counted and analyzed in the results.
