Best Practices for Web Push Notifications
We want to give you some recommendations that we believe are important when configuring the Push Notifications section:
When configuring the Opt-in, we suggest that you play with the value proposition that you will make in it, since you can write a title and the message you want to make your users decide to subscribe. For example: exclusive offers, discounts, new information, reminders about the product you offer, among others. Last but not least, you will be able to choose the color of the buttons. Try to match these with the colors of your site so that it matches the design you want.
Regarding the link to Invite Subscribers, we suggest you send it through contact channels in which you have an established subscriber base, for example, the Newsletter. In this you can write a value proposition for your users inviting them to subscribe and attach the link. In addition, you can send it in bulk so it will have more impact and reach. On the other hand, you can post it on your social networks, for example, through our Linkpage tool and place it on a button there, inviting your users to subscribe and offering them some benefit in return.
Regarding Campaigns, we recommend sending a minimum of 2 per week, in order to keep the subscriber base active. The message you send in them is important, therefore it must be something strategic that in a few words interests the user to interact with the notification. For example: Limited time offers!, 2x1 on selected products, Don't miss our Happy Hour!, etc. In addition, we recommend the use of smart sending, since through a machine learning process it manages to send the notification at the most appropriate time for each of your users.
If we talk about automatic Retargeting and User Recovery (Winback) notifications, you must keep in mind that you can control the time they are sent. For Retargeting, we recommend that you schedule the first notification between 1-2 days at most, as this will allow you to refresh the product that your client still has in mind. As for Winback, you can decide to choose between 10 and 20 days as a considerable time to recover your customers who have not visited the site for a long time. In the latter, you can choose the “Custom” mode and in the body of the notification message you can offer an exclusive discount for returning users, for example: “10% OFF discount coupon”.
