Database porting guide in Icomm

The database migration or "porting" process is a crucial step to guarantee correct organization of your contacts on the Icomm platform. This not only makes the transition easier, but is also critical to the domain warm-up process. In this article, we will explain how to structure your data for an efficient and effective migration.

Importance of order in database migration

Proper organization of your database is essential to start the domain warm-up process. This process helps establish a good sending reputation, which improves the deliverability of your emails and reduces the likelihood of your messages landing in the spam folder.

We require that you share with your account executive the audiences organized as follows:

Opening contacts in the last 30 days
Opening contacts in the last 60 days
Opening contacts in the last 90 days
Opening contacts in the last 120 days
Total opening contacts
Total contacts
Unsubscribed contacts
Bounced Contacts

This structure allows for a staggered migration, starting with the most active and recent contacts, which is ideal for the domain warm-up process.

You can ask the Icomm Customer Success team for help to move forward with this migration.
