Google Analytics 4: how to see billing by product
With Google Analytics 4 (GA 4) it is possible to obtain detailed information about the products purchased on the site and the billing generated through the icomm email marketing channel.
Access the Monetization menu
Select the option Ecommerce Purchase
This configuration will allow you to observe the conversions generated by each product disseminated through the email channel.
Add a filter to see the source of the traffic
Select the option Add Filter
Choose the option First user source medium
Under Match Type, choose the Contains filter
In the Value/Value field, write "Icomm" to identify the transactions made through the campaigns created with the platform.
By following this procedure, you will be able to access the information on the conversions that generated the sales of a certain product, disseminated by the Icomm email marketing channel.
This dashboard provides two charts: the first shows Items Viewed by Item Name over time and the second shows a comparison between Items Viewed and Items Added to Cart by Item Name.
You can customize the comparison indicators that make up the scatter chart. In this example, you can see a comparison between the items viewed/Items viewed and the Items added to the cart/Add to cart.
However, you need to have the necessary administrator permissions to access this option. Consult the following article in GA4: **Management of access and data restriction**
In this dashboard, you will find a table detailing information on the conversions generated by the products purchased through the Icomm email marketing channel:
- Items Viewed: Indicates the number of times a product was viewed by users.
- Items Add to Cart: Shows how many times a product was added to the shopping cart.
- Items Purchase: Provides the number of times an item was purchased.
- Items Revenue: Reveals the total amount generated by the sales of each product.
One more column can be added to the GA 4 dashboard from the Button + to see other available data. For example, adding the Traffic source filter and selecting the First user campaign option.
This will add a column that will show the data of the Icomm campaigns that generated the traffic until the purchase of the product.
It is important to note that each customer must ensure that they tag their products with UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) in order to effectively track purchases in Google Analytics 4.
