How and when the Opt In is displayed

In Icomm, the Opt In window is displayed from the second page browsed. To avoid premature interruptions and offer a more natural user experience, the Opt In window is not displayed immediately when accessing the site or platform. Instead, it waits until the user has navigated through at least two pages. This allows the user to become familiar with the content and generate a basic level of interest before receiving the subscription proposal.

What actions can the user perform in the Opt-in?

No subscription option: When viewing the Opt In window, the user has the option of not subscribing. If the user chooses this option, they will stop seeing the Opt In for a period of 7 days. This choice is respected to avoid an invasive experience and allow the user to take control over receiving future notifications.

Second screen when clicking on the subscription button: If the user decides to subscribe and clicks on the corresponding button, a second screen will be displayed. This screen provides additional information about the notifications and asks the user to specifically allow receiving such notifications. If the user accepts, the Opt In window will not be shown again, unless they decide to unsubscribe or delete the cookies on the device. If the user closes this screen without making a decision, they will continue to see a less intrusive version of the Opt In, known as "soft opt-in".

Ignore Opt In: If a user chooses to ignore the Opt In window, it will continue to display on every page they visit until they choose an option. It is important to note that the Opt In window cannot be closed manually; it only allows the user to select to subscribe or not to subscribe.

Please note:

Opt In Blocking: The Opt In window will stop showing only if the user explicitly blocks this option. Also, if the Icomm platform detects that the device is running the iOS operating system, the user will not receive push notifications, regardless of whether they block the Opt In window or not.

Avoid Google penalties: To comply with Google policies and avoid penalties, the Opt In notification is not displayed on the first page visited, but on the second.

Is the user's behavior saved even if they did not Opt In?

Yes, in Icomm the user's behavior is saved even if they have not opted in to receive notifications. This is accomplished by assigning a unique device ID that allows us to track and record user browsing.
