How to crate HTML newsletter

Create a Newsletter from an HTML code. Learn the details of this template option on the Icomm platform.


  1. Go to the Create News menu
  2. Select Create Newsletter
  3. Select the HTML template



  1. Select the Campaign that the Newsletter will be a part of and complete Name and Description
    Upon entering the editing panel, the following screen is displayed where the code should be added.



  1. Click on Replace HTML**
  2. Select the HTML button to display a new window where the code will be inserted



  • Paste the HTML code into the Source Code window
  • Press the OK button



  • Press the Accept/Save button



  1. Complete Plain Text
    You can obtain the plain text of the piece from the Get from HTML button. In this way, the platform takes the text that the piece carries in the code previously inserted.


  1. Choose Language



  1. Finish
    Choose the following options:
  • Preview: view the content of the Newsletter that the recipient will see
  • Save: save changes to the piece during its design
  • Save and Exit: save changes and exit the editor. Allows for further changes.
  • Approve and Create Send: Approve the piece and configure the message delivery
  • Send Test



It is recommended to perform test sends directly from Schedule Sends by checking the Test Send option in the Send Settings tab.



Custom HTML Sends

Use this option to customize messages.


The text of the piece can be personalized with the information of the contacts contained in the database.


Once inside the HTML editor:


  1. Find the profile to which the message will be sent with the Profile Fields tool.
  • Enter the profile name in the box and the platform will show all the available fields in the database to customize the messages.
  1. Choose the data you want to personalize
    Invoke the personalized fields with the [+] button to add it to the message text.



In this way, the message will include the personalized data of the contact in the sent piece. For example, if we invoke the fields <FIRST_NAME> from the database, the contact will receive the message with his first and last name.


Only text fields can be customized
