How to create a survey
ICOMM offers the possibility of creating surveys within the platform to collect information about clients, increase their satisfaction and detect opportunities for improvement. It also facilitates its dissemination, according to the size of the different audiences that are of interest.
Access the Surveys module
The initial screen shows the workspaces on the left side of the panel and the list of surveys (campaigns) on the right side.
Workspaces are a way to organize surveys by topic. They can be described as a folder where the surveys carried out from the Icomm platform will be stored.
The platform offers two options to create surveys: by entering Create new survey, you will be able to load all the information from scratch and carry out the design. On the other hand, you can access preset templates from the Create from template option.
This is the easiest option to start working with surveys. It allows you to create a campaign from predesigned templates, which are previously created and organized by categories within the platform.
Browse the available options and choose the one that best suits your survey. You can preview it by clicking on each one of them. Once you select the template, you will be able to edit texts, images, delete questions that are not appropriate or even add those that fit your needs in 3 steps.
Go to New campaign
Select the Start from template option
Select the template you want to use for the survey
Click on the Create button to customize
This option from template, allows you to use the preconfigured structure of a survey and customize it to adapt it to the needs of your brand or company
To start a survey from scratch, choose the Create new survey option. Then, carry out the Configuration of your campaign in 3 steps: Configuration, Questions and Design.
Click on Create Campaign

In this section you must load the general information of your campaign, the name with which you will be able to recognize your campaign, customize the URL or the data that you want to recognize from the user before he begins to answer your form. In the case of pre-designed templates, they can be edited and customized according to the user's need.
Campaigne name: it will allow you to have a greater organization within your control panel. This name will be reflected in the URL of the survey, therefore, it is recommended that it be a suitable name for it.
Language: the platform gives us the option to configure our survey in Spanish, English, Portuguese or French.
URL: public address to access your survey.
User information: what information do you want to obtain:
Anonymous: you already have the customer's data and you do not want them to fill in their personal data.
Demographic: Select the optional fields for the respondent to complete.
To access this configuration, activate the Advanced Options button

Webhooks
Select where you want to receive the survey responses in real time. You will be able to choose Not to receive responses or select the option https://api.survey.icommarketing.com/savecontact which provides the possibility to automatically create a regular profile starting with the letters SRV in the Icomm instance. In this way, each question in the survey will be taken as a profile field. Also demographic data, if requested.
Sessions
You can configure whether users are allowed to restart the survey after completion. You will also be able to configure if the survey is restarted when the user refreshes the page.
Allow log out: Allows the user to retake the survey. When you re-enter the link, the "Repeat" button will appear to restart the form.
End session automatically: This option allows the survey to restart automatically if the user refreshes the browser page they are using when completing the form.
Requirement
You can include a code to activate the survey. This code can be imported or generated by the platform.
Notifications
You can enter an email to receive an Alert before responses from users.

In this tab you can select and configure the survey questions. By simply clicking on them, you will be able to edit the content of each one, change texts, select images, assign skip logic and customize the rest of your survey. All the questions have different functionalities and options and in each one you can upload images to customize your form.
First set up the Welcome Screen
Add the Questions
In this step you must add the questions that will be part of the survey. The left column shows the different question types available.
Enter the type of question you want to add (in the left column)
Configure the question
Click on the Save button to confirm the settings
Repeat the procedure to add more questions until the survey is complete.

Upload file
Multiple images
Punctuation
Form
Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Short answer
Each question has additional options that vary between them, for example, alerts, videos, order, mandatory mode, etc. Check our article on Advanced Options to learn more about these features.
Set up the Thankyou Screen

This option allows you to take data in a hidden way so that it later appears as part of the user's information. In this way, it will not be necessary to request this information from the respondents.
This function is applicable when we already have certain user data.
Enable the Hidden Fields option
A new window will open:
Enter the hidden field you want. For example: Email
Instead of asking for the desired field, for example email, in demographic fields, you can choose the Anonymous option and then invoke the "email" field by customizing the hidden fields URL.
To do this, you must activate the Hidden fields option and then you must invoke the "email" field by replacing the xxxx of the URL with <EMAIL>. This will create the new survey URL.
For example:
Original Hidden Fields link: https://icomm.surveyicommkt.com/base-de-datos?email=xxxx
Custom link to invoke the "email" field: https://icomm.surveyicommkt.com/base-de-datos?email=<EMAIL>
Click on the Save button to confirm
The option must be activated as follows:
Click on the Next button to advance to the Design settings
In this section you can choose and configure the themes, fonts and backgrounds so that they adapt to the image of your brand

Once the design is complete, click the Finish button
The system will show the URL of the created survey
Once the survey is created, you can share it so that users can answer it. Icomm offers different ways to spread your campaign and get the most responses.
