How to create QR codes automatically from the editor
On the Icomm platform, it is possible to generate personalized QR codes automatically and send them to your contacts through your email marketing campaigns. These QR codes can be used for different purposes, such as promotions, discounts, identity verification, among others.
Next, we explain how you can create these QR codes from the Editor to create Icomm newsletters:
Inside the Editor, drag the "Text" element to your email template.
Select the "Fields" option
In the "General Fields" drop-down menu, choose "Custom QR".
By clicking "Approve" and "Create Configuration", a form will open where you must complete the following fields:
- Start Date: The date from which the QR code will be valid.
- End Date: The date until which the QR code will be valid.
- Description: An explanatory text about the promotion or use of the QR code.
- Verification Code: A code that must be entered by the user who scans the QR code.
- Confirm Verification Code: Confirms the verification code entered.
- Link: The URL to which the user will be redirected when they scan the QR code.
- Start text: It is the legend that will be displayed at the top of the QR.
- End Text: This text will be displayed at the bottom of the QR.
- Text Code Used: It is an internal identification code. It will not be visible to users.
All fields must be completed for the code to be generated correctly. Once you have completed these fields, you can save the settings and the QR code will be automatically generated in your email template.
To scan and validate the QR code, your contacts must follow these steps:
Open a QR code scanning app on your mobile device (such as Google Lens or a dedicated app).
Scan the QR code from the email image.
When scanning the code, a web page will open where the user must click to validate the requested data (the Verification Code entered previously).
It is important to keep in mind that, in this case, the "Leads" will be counted as those contacts who have scanned the QR code.
