# How to obtain the Profile Key of a regular profile?

The Profile Key is an identifier of a regular profile. It is a code that may be required to work with APIs (for example, contact APIs).

To obtain the Profile Key:

1. Go to the **Manage Contacts** module > **List Contacts**

2. Find or select the profile you want to know the Profile Key for
3. Access advanced actions with the blue button located on the right side of the profile
* From that menu, select the Profile Key option

5. A window with the profile information will be displayed and you can copy the code from the Copy button
