How to use hidden fields in surveys

This functionality allows you to send information (parameters) hidden in the URL of your campaign. In this way, you can include information that you already know in advance to personalize your campaigns without having to ask your users for it again.

How do hidden fields work?

Activate the Hidden Fields option found in the Questions section of your campaign, under the question options.

A window will open to invoke the hidden fields that you want to include in the campaign

Write the name of the parameters you want to include
For example: "email", "first name" and "last name.

Check that the name of the parameters you want to add matches the name they have in the database.

Add more hidden fields
With the + button located next to the field

You will see how the URL of your campaign is updated as you select the names and parameters.

Customize fields

The Hidden Fields option allows you to customize fields in the survey. By carrying pre-existing user information, it is possible to replace the text with a selected variable.

For example, you can use the "name" parameter to greet your users with a personalized welcome screen each time they enter your campaign.

To do this, you must enter the question you want to customize, in this case, the welcome screen.

Select the Add variable option located at the top of the title
By having hidden fields, here you will find all the names of the parameters that you have selected.

Once you have selected it, on the right side of your screen you will see "XXXX", which will be replaced by the obtained parameters.

Results

In the results of your campaign, you will find the hidden fields as columns in the "Participants" section and you can use the filters to cross this information and have more detailed results.
